Overview
What 7Nadi is, what it is made of, and where to start.
7Nadi is a platform for voice agents that place and answer phone calls. You describe an agent, connect it to a phone line, and the platform runs the conversation and gives you back a record of it.
What you can build
- Agents that follow a single prompt, or a graph of steps and conditions when the flow has to be exact.
- Function tools that let the agent call your HTTP APIs during the call, transfer the caller to a person, or end the call.
- Knowledge bases built from your documents, searched on every caller turn.
- Outbound calls one at a time, as a batch from a CSV file, or from a workflow campaign.
- Inbound calls on a phone number linked to an agent.
- Post-call data: transcript, summary, extracted fields, cost and a recording.
- Webhooks for every status change of a call.
The parts
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| API | Everything in this documentation. JSON over HTTPS, one Bearer token. |
| Dashboard | The same features with a user interface, plus team and billing pages. |
| Worker | Places calls, runs batches and workflows, sends webhooks, does post-call work. |
| Voice engine | Holds the live conversation: speech detection, speech-to-text, the language model, text-to-speech. |
| Telephony provider | Twilio, Plivo or Exotel, with your own account. Can be simulated. |
The two halves of the API
The API reference is split in two:
- The core API: agents, calls, executions, batches, phone numbers, knowledge bases, providers, SIP trunks, sub-accounts, dispositions, workflows and campaigns.
- The extensions: sign-up and login, team and roles, billing, compliance, messaging, function-tool helpers, graph validation, leads, the setup assistant, the browser voice test and operations.
Both use the same base URL, the same authentication and the same error format.
Where to start
- Quickstart: an agent and a simulated call in a few requests.
- Concepts: the vocabulary used everywhere else.
- Testing without a phone: how far you can get before connecting telephony.
- FAQ: the limits you should know about before you plan a launch.
Note: Examples use
https://api.sevennadi.sias the base URL and made-up keys. Replace them with the address of your deployment and your own key.
